Research & Development

                                                                       An integral part of Vicseeds Research and Development has been the establishment of a Research Site in southern Victoria. Vicseeds varieties, new varieties and competitor varieties are assessed at this site. Varieties include annual and perennial ryegrass, cocksfoots, fescues and clovers. Dry matter yield, sugar content, persistence, rate of establishment and disease resistance are just some of the information being gathered.

The establishment of the research site demonstrates a commitment to not only producing quality products but an ongoing commitment to developing, maintaining and improving all attributes of Australian bred varieties.

Trialing is also being undertaken and planned at various strategic sites throughout Australia. Selected varieties are also in official trials around the world.
